Most of these things are relatively minor, the worst thing on the list IMO is the price of the vita cards, which sucks, i don't plan on buying a vita until they pack in at least a memory card.
Overall it's understandable (although regretable) that sony had to take these actions to secure the system and prevent it turning into the disaster that was the PSP software sales.
Zeeshan, no point in talking about what that money could be better used for, people aren't machines who only live to serve each other, most people look out for themselves and the people close to them, complaining that people won't spend the money they earned on something "more deserving" is just a waste of time.
The poorer nations shouldn't rely on the richer nations to fix them, the richer nations got rich by overcoming adversity, we should assist them ...
I would prefer the memory to be cheaper, but i think the main problem with vita concerning memory is the lack of a packed in memory card with each new vita.
Most games will require a memory card to even start up, not including even a small card, say 1gb, with every vita was a terrible decision and it's something that will slow the vitas growth during its first year and will keep on doing so until sony pack a card in with every vita for no additional cost.
@Myze
Xenoblade runs perfect on dolphin now with the LLE Hack, so long as you have a really good CPU.
I can't wait until more games are announced for this, playing uncharted, gran turismo, battlefield etc on a handheld is going to be godly, also i cannot wait to get back into an improved version of final fantasy 10, this thing is gonna rock.
It's pretty sad, this should be standard in EVERY SINGLE GAME, i remember playing final fantasy 7 on my PSX many years ago and it had button remapping options.
It's a feature that has been so frequently overlooked and for what? it's not hard to implement and it stops people complaining about games having "shit controls" (anyone remember the killzone 2 b1tching?).
Anyway good on them for including this and shame on all developers who don&...
I only played the first one(got bored, quit and never touched it again), but i think in the right hands it could be a good movie, also good to see a company heavily involved in video games is the one to make the movie.
The game would do harm to the franchise in the west IMO, they need to show the quality of the series, something that ToI:R lacks (seeing how it's a port of a mediocre DS game).
It's mostly just to get more hits to the website, almost no game is worth a 2/10 score, so unless it's almost unplayable due to game breaking bugs then i see no reason why it would deserve this score.
As someone who hasn't played any of the resistance games, i know about them but they just do not seem interesting, the WW2 + aliens theme just doesn't appeal to me, also the next gen filter it has makes it even less appealing.
Of course i could be wrong about them but when there are so many other games that can grab my attention i don't feel like i'm missing out on anything.
Only good news if they include dual audio IMO, also if they have low/reasonable expectations.
I didn't even bother clicking on the link, a score like 4/10 is something given to games that are broken/bad allround.
Dark souls is no where even close to being like that, also the fact that in the description it says "Read the full Critical Gamer review to find out" + it's low score and it seems pretty obvious to me that this score is just a way to draw extra attention to the site, hence why i did not click the link and i hope others do the same.
I read the thread on gaf, someone said they were going to post it here as a joke, it's made me laugh so hard that it actually got approved.
For those who don't know,The changes the guy made to the PS3 in no way improve the visuals on games.
This is part of the reason i never bother with early reviews, they are early because they are always going to say good things about the game, it's part of the deal with the publisher, it's the only reason the magazine gets the early review in the first place.
It doesn't matter if the game is godlike or sh!t, never depend on early reviews.
They have forum guidelines, if you don't follow the guidelines then of course you will get banned.
Don't make it out like they are elitists who ban people just cause they feel like it.
I hope it stays exclusive, any games after it can be multiplat as this has always been advertised as PS3 exclusive, even after the FFXIII debacle everyone was(and still) told that versus will remain exclusive, it will only make SCEJ look extremely incompetent.
And no, exclusive in japan does not = exclusive, exclusive worldwide and not for a limited time either.
I first thought NIS might be trying for something similar to demon's souls, but after seeing the pic it's disappointing to see that it's just their usual stuff, won't be appealing to people who aren't interested in their other games.
Of course this is just my personal opinion about the artstyle of NIS.
It's unfortunate that they decided to screw over steam at the same time they are trying to take activision down a few notches, just reducing the number of sales BF3 gets and possibly increasing MW3 sales on PC because of it.
You should only import it if you actually understand japanese or are just extremely impatient, pretty much all the games will be in japanese anyway, so you wouldnt be playing much games on it, not to mention that the NA and PAL PSN networks wont support vita yet.
Also like Shuhei mentioned the O and X buttons are inverted on japanese sony consoles and i don't believe there is an option to change it.
You do realise that sony will be adding PSX support to the vita in the near future right?
Also they can't legally support emulators as it could possibly result in them being sued by someone like nintendo.
